RRP America 1st Academy Alaska

Welcome, Alaskans! The Alaska Chapter of the RINO Removal Project is a grassroots movement fueled by patriots determined to restore the Alaska Republican Party (ARP) to its conservative roots. We’re done with Republicans In Name Only (RINOs) who betray our values, caucus with Democrats, and undermine the America First agenda. From Juneau to Washington, D.C., these turncoats have hijacked our party for too long.

Our mission is clear we must oust RINOs like Lisa Murkowski, Gary Stevens, Kelly Merrick, and there are others, let’s replace them with true conservative warriors who honor Alaska’s rugged individualism, fiscal responsibility, and constitutional principles. Join us to make Alaska’s GOP a beacon of liberty once again!

Alaska’s Republican Party has a RINO infestation, and it’s been festering for years. These so-called Republicans run on conservative promises but govern like Democrats, handing power to the left and ignoring the will of Alaskan voters. Below is a timeline of key events, drawn from recent developments, that expose the RINO crisis and the grassroots fight to take back the GOP:

  • January 2021: Lisa Murkowski Censured, Then Ignored
The Alaska Republican Party’s State Central Committee voted 77% in favor of censuring Sen. Lisa Murkowski for her public call for Trump’s resignation and her votes to impeach him. Murkowski continued her anti-Trump crusade, proving censures without teeth are meaningless.
  • 2022–2024: Murkowski’s Anti-GOP Actions Escalate
Murkowski endorsed Democrat Mary Peltola in 2022 and 2024, opposed Trump’s nomination of Pete Hegseth for defense secretary, and advocated for ranked-choice voting (RCV), diluting conservative votes and keeping RINOs in power. Her defiance sparked widespread outrage among grassroots Republicans.
  • 2023–2024: The Gang of Seven Betrays the Senate
Republican Sens. Gary Stevens, Bert Stedman, Cathy Giessel, Kelly Merrick, and Jesse Bjorkman joined a Democrat-led majority caucus in the Alaska Senate, violating ARP rules. House Reps. Louise Stutes and Chuck Kopp also joined Democrat-majority caucuses, further eroding GOP principles.
  • July 2024: ARP Rules Get Teeth
The ARP adopted Article VII, allowing sanctions against Republicans who form majority caucuses with too many non-Republicans. Sanctions include censure, loss of party funding, barring from GOP events, and recruiting primary challengers.
  • April 2025: District 6 Takes a Stand
District 6 (Homer) voted to censure Sen. Gary Stevens and Lisa Murkowski for violating ARP rules. This grassroots effort reached out to other districts to secure 19 of 37 organized House districts needed to enforce statewide sanctions, signaling a new era of accountability.
  • June 2025: Kenai GOP Targets Jesse Bjorkman
Districts 7 and 8 in Kenai unanimously voted to censure Sen. Jesse Bjorkman for enabling the Democrat-led Senate caucus. A formal hearing is set for July 3, 2025, where Bjorkman must defend his actions or face sanctions.
  • June 2025: District 29 Drops the Hammer
District 29 (Wasilla/Matanuska-Susitna Valley) passed three resolutions sanctioning Murkowski, Stevens, Stedman, Giessel, Merrick, Bjorkman, Stutes, and Kopp for their roles in Democrat-majority caucuses. The resolutions call for permanent censures, barring these RINOs from ARP support, and recruiting challengers.
  • Ongoing: Kelly Merrick’s Campaign Violations
Sen. Kelly Merrick admitted to taking illegal donations, failed to disclose in-kind donations, and used a police officer in uniform for a campaign mailer. Her alignment with labor unions and Democrats has made her a prime RINO target.

Why RINOs Are a Problem in Alaska

Well, Alaska’s RINOs are a unique breed, thriving in a state with a strong conservative base but a fractured political system.  Here’s why they’re a threat and what’s at stake:

  • Betrayal of Voter Trust
RINOs like Murkowski, Merrick, and Stevens run as Republicans, promising to uphold conservative values. Once elected, they caucus with Democrats, handing control to the left and ignoring voters, undermining trust in the GOP.
  • Ranked-Choice Voting (RCV) Keeps RINOs in Power
Murkowski’s support for RCV ensures moderate RINOs can win by splitting the conservative vote and relying on Democrat crossover votes. RCV helped Murkowski defeat Kelly Tshibaka in 2022 and continues to protect RINOs from challengers.
  • Democrat-Led Caucuses Weaken Conservative Priorities
The Gang of Seven’s Democrat-majority caucuses block conservative legislation, from protecting the Permanent Fund Dividend to securing resource development, prioritizing union interests and progressive policies over Alaska’s needs.
  • Murkowski’s National Betrayals
In Washington, D.C., Murkowski’s anti-Trump stance, endorsement of Democrats, and votes against conservative nominees weaken the America First agenda, emboldening the establishment and alienating Alaska’s conservative base.

The RINO Rogues’ Gallery: Alaska’s Top Targets:

Here are the key RINOs undermining Alaska’s conservative agenda and why they must be removed:

  • Sen. Lisa Murkowski (Election 2028)
Murkowski is the queen of RINOs, appointed in 2002 and propped up by RCV and Democrat votes. Her anti-Trump rhetoric, endorsement of Democrats, and support for RCV make her a traitor to the GOP. Districts 6, 26, 29, and others are rallying to permanently bar her from party support and recruit a conservative challenger for 2028.
  • Sen. Gary Stevens (Election 2026)
As Senate President, Stevens wields power from Kodiak but betrays conservatives by leading the Democrat-led caucus. District 6’s censure and grassroots efforts are underway to sanction him statewide.
  • Sen. Kelly Merrick (Election 2026)
Representing Chugiak-Eagle River, Merrick’s Democrat caucus alignment and campaign violations expose her as a union-backed RINO. District 29’s sanctions aim to end her deception.
  • Sen. Jesse Bjorkman (Election 2028)
Bjorkman enabled the Democrat-led Senate caucus, sparking unanimous censure votes from Kenai’s Districts 7 and 8. His upcoming hearing could lead to sanctions.
  • Sens. Cathy Giessel and Bert Stedman
Both joined the Democrat caucus, flipping the Senate to liberal control. District 29’s resolutions demand permanent sanction.
  • Reps. Louise Stutes and Chuck Kopp
These House members joined Democrat-majority caucuses, defying ARP rules and weakening conservative influence. District 29 calls for permanent sanctions and challengers to unseat them.
